A workshop about reclaiming our bodies and our inner Selves

This workshop aims to help participants reclaim a sense of body pride, as well as learn to lovingly embrace their authentic selves. Presented as a down-to-earth conversation, participants will first explore current feelings of shame, self-criticism, and the need to look "perfect." In working to undo these negative thoughts and self-beliefs, a new framework and exercises will be introduced that facilitate the idea of embracing the concept of self-love. This workshop is for you, whether you struggle to fit society’s “beauty ideal, or whether you struggle with an eating disorder, poor self-esteem or anxiety related to body image. Providing hands-on exercises and talking from a more body positive, sex positive view, licensed mental health therapist, Mandy Traut will promote the concept of self-love, self-acceptance, increased self-esteem, and greater self-worth.

For the last section of the workshop, participants will have an opportunity to engage in exercises intended to foster self-connection and self-love. During this section, sexual expression is allowed and encouraged. Mandy will be building a safe atmosphere to support each participant's self-explorations while protecting the agreements and boundaries of the group.

Please wear comfortable clothes, bring a water bottle and be prepared to participate in the non-sexual experiential exercises in the earlier parts of the workshop. For the last part of the workshop where sexual energy is encouraged, you are welcome to bring your more personal items to facilitate self-love."

All sexual orientations, genders, and relationship dynamics welcome.

When: 7PM to 9PM
Cost: $25, $20 in advance.
