About Eugenie Jones: Eugenie Jones, a gifted award-winning singer-songwriter, producer, and legacy advocate, hails from Morgantown, West Virginia, where she grew up in a family of music enthusiasts. Her parents' membership in the Friendship Baptist Church choir immersed her in soulful melodies. Though initially pursuing an MBA and a career in marketing communications in Seattle, Eugenie's path shifted when her mother passed away in 2008. Rekindling her love for singing, she dove into Seattle's jazz scene, crafting a remarkable journey. With a sound that marries emotive storytelling and alluring melodies, Eugenie's music captures hearts, paying homage to her roots while carving her own artistic legacy. Additionally, Jones is 2022 Jazz Journalist Association 2023 Jazz Hero award recipient, recognized for her nonprofit work intersecting Seattle's African American music legacy and supporting nonprofit service agencies.
